my friend Jenny tagged me. this means i have to list 6 facts, hobbies or habits about myself. i must admit i wasn't going to do it, then i read how fun it was getting to know more about jenny. so i started to contemplate what i would say. so this could be number one, but i'm not counting it. as i was contemplating every thought/idea was completely negative. yes, i'm a negative person. it is a struggle for me to turn things positive. so i bagged the idea again. then i was driving home from Missouri by myself (the kids we entranced with a movie) and my thoughts turned to the blogging thing again. and i couldn't believe it! things were flowen' thoughts were coming out positive! i was happy and excited. i was also driving. the closes thing to me was a pizza box in the front seat. with one eye driving i was writing notes on my pizza box. so here it is folks; six positive fact about myself -- in no particular order.
Number 1~I love to make people laugh. not on stage, not comedian style; just the sly comments that make people giggle. or with a small intimate group of people. it used to happen all the time...
Number 2~i love learning. not school/text book learning; alton brown style learning. the chemistry behind the cooking. the hands on visible learning.
Number 3~Ha ha this is fun...i skipped my final in the very last class i would ever have to take again for my bachelors. here's the story. winter semester i had brilee and only need to take one class, my capstone, to graduate. finals week came, brian did all his Monday Tuesday so scheduled the moving truck on Wednesday. my final was scheduled for friday. brian was extremely frustrated that he would have to sit around for two more days for me to take one test. so i talked to Bro. teacher man and asked what my grade was. I must note, 3.A, I had an A in that class. i'm a straight B student! all through high school, B. not effort required. college, B, not effort required. this class was an exception...i still put for not a lot of effort and i got an A. this never happens. the only other time was in 1st semester accounting, 3.B, I spent three hours four days a week with the accounting tutors--got an A. ok back to the final. so i was currently sitting at an A. i asked Brother Kusch what my final grade would be if i had a zero on the final. he quickly calculated and said, B. i said see ya later. (story subject to change after brian reads it)
Number 4~I love singing and music! oh i much i miss singing with the choir. again no spot light on me. i'm sure everyone feels the same about "their" choir, but my high school choir was completely the best. wow, to be a part of such power is great. the emotions and vibrations are incredible. when i'm in a bad mood, i'll go to church and music is the only thing that brings the spirit back to me. and on the flip side bri and i recently went to see August Rush. amazing music emotion.
Number 5~Oh yes, my favorite calling i've had so far has been Ward Employment Specialist. sorry YW ladies, you are great, but...hear me out. i was a little hesitate at first upon accepting the calling; mom, two kids/employment specialist-oxymoron. anyway, i somewhere embraced it and had a blast. as i was obtaining my business degree i saw myself in business suits, being the leader, loving what i do, being recognized for my work. as i became a mom i still wanted to see myself as this business women. so i began looking for in all the many home business out there...that could be 5.A but i don't want to go there. anyway, i had just recently sign with heritage makers after taking three months to think about it. of course it wasn't working out for me then i got this calling. this calling answered prayers that were not even utter or thought. heavenly Father knew of my dreams and visions of myself. he granted me the satisfaction and more through this calling while building his kingdom. i was apart of something that made people better, i could be their leader, the one they look to for help. i dressed the part and felt so confident. the first or second sunday i stood in Priesthood before they split for classes to introduce myself and my new calling and what i could do for them. brian told me later that he and his dad looked at each other and said, who is that women!? in this calling i worked closely with three other women in the stake to make the stake employment program better. so thrilling to me. truly my favorite.
Number 6~ok, this one isn't so leave-with-a-bang. i love to play board and card games. no favorites. just love to play and laugh.
so there you have it...wasn't that fun.
