Is this stuff cold?

So the weather has been quite entertaining this week. this weekend we got tons of snow; started friday morning and didn't stop until saturday early afternoon. We found the snow fun and beautiful. and some of you might be disagreeing fully hearted, dad, that snow is awful; and it is when you have to live in it for six months, but this snow was fun and beautiful. and since we only get good snow to play in once a year or less i never felt it a need to buy snow boots and snow pants. although great item to have. brian and i have been able to keep our figures so our snow gear still fits (i just can't button my pants). kids grow way too fast. so we tried to do layers. Brayland didn't care about the cold touching his ankles or his wrist...the first day. that drove me nuts as a kid. i pick up some snow boots for brilee at a garage sale one summer so she was good to go. Friday after we came in from playing in the snow brayland's legs, ankles, feet, and hands were so pink. we got our wet clothes off as soon as possible and cuddled together in blankets.
Brayland refused to put on a coat. he just has this little jacket and one pair of jeans. he played along time like this until he would let me get him warmer.
Brilee making a snow angel
building "snow" castles
Brayland hates getting his picture taken lately
got him!

SATURDAY'S ADVENTURES
Brayland let me layer him this time.

We warmed up afterwards with some yummy Blueberry Muffins. Brayland so enjoyed licking the blueberry batter. he even had his head in the bowl; later we found something hard and crusty in his hair, oh yea, batter. we were doing hair cuts that night so we just cut out the crusties.
SUNDAY
Today, Sunday, Brian and Brayland went home teaching for a couple of hours so brilee and i had some fun. we started off with a great snack; milk and chocolate chip cookies. Then, we layered up again and went out to build a snowman. one snowman turned into four; our family. as we were making Brilee and Brayland snowman Mommy snow man fell over. and Daddy snowman kept tipping over. i straighten him up twice. our family was melting just as fast as we were building. We finally completed everyone and since we are the 2nd house in the 'hood everyone can see; one lady even took a picture with us and her two kids in it. Brilee and i got some good shots too.

Dad and Brayland were still not home yet so we went on an "adventure". We traded through the snow following all the melting water down a ravine. i sent bri a text message asking him to come pick us up when he was done. two seconds later he called; he was done and two seconds from being home. he turned around and came and got us. as we pull up to the house dad and brayland were able to see our adorable snow family. dad parked the car, everyone gets out, and daddy snowman falls over knocking little brayland over too! i couldn't believe it! i was so happy it stayed together long enough for the boys to see it. and being boys they continued to demolish our work. well brilee was enjoying it too.
