Basement is Done!

it's been done for two months now. brian worked super hard while i was recovering at the hospital to finish it so we could have our first date together in the new basement the night i got home. i was ready to come home by lunch time but he kept insiting i stay and enjoy the peace and quiet. he wouldn't tell me why; i felt a little unwanted. but he finally had to tell me what he was up to late that afternoon. i was going nuts in my little room.

so this is at the bottom of the stairs. it has one little piece to finish. can you see what still has to be done? brian has had all his spare time helping his bro on his new house.

then you go into our toy room. why i have a toy room i don't know because the kids will not go play unless i threaten them. my "office" is attached so i'm hoping once the computer is downstairs and i'm working they'll have more desire to go play.

i just had to have these curtains i saw at IKEA. they are covering the nice green drywall. finally, my style of fun somewhere in the house.

I love the basesment/toy idea. Working on one upstairs at our place in our bonur room. I love your curtains from IKEA. I was just at IKEA last weekend in Salt Lake and I was totally disappointed because they had nothing like that there. I was hoping for cute bedding but found nothing. How is Ammdon doing..sleeping through the night yet?? Jace wakes up once or twice but has had issues with stomach aches. Poor guy, Ive cut out all dairy and all caffiene...dont know whats up

Hey Hansons,
Your kids are beautiful! The last time I saw Brilee, she was just a baby. It's been a while! Russell is so glad to be back in touch with Brian. We will have to get together with you guys soon.

Amy-
Long time! In a past life you actually sold pest control...do you remember?!! Don't feel too bad...I did too!
Brian tracked me down today and led me to your blog. You're a blogging fiend! Very entertaining stuff.
I live in Alaska of all places and I love it!!! I am a morning meteorologist ("the weatherman", if you will). I look forward to catching up with you guys. I'll be in touch.
Later.

PS Your chillens are cute as can be!
