Brilee's 1st Day at Kenwood

Ahh, our first day at school. it went so smooth and no tears from anyone. there wasn't time because brilee hopped so fast on the bus.

we set brilee's Cinderella alarm for 6:30. she was up before it went off and she went through her check list...(i love lists). brilee immediately grabbed it "1. take off my pj's. check. 2. put on my clothes. check. 3. make my bed. check. 4. turn off the lights. check." so efficient. love it. we were down eating breakfast and brilee just wanted to eat toast. nothing on it; plain toast. okay. whatever. i least she ate something. i'm glad they do a snack before lunch for them. i put a little raspberry jam on the other dry toast she didn't want and choked it down. brayland finished that one for me.

we had a few minutes and i want to create a habit of reading while we wait for the bus. i think it is going to work if we are not running late. by this time brian and brayland decided to join us. so we are all sitting on the front porch reading up on the rameumpton (sp?). the story of the lamenites on the tower that just held one person at a time. it even smelled like my first day of school. perfect dry cool weather. mi mi and bapa had to come and see her off too.

i don't know why this was so comical for me but everybody was outside with cameras and videos. nothing like the first day. we even waited for the bus to circle the neighborhood to get more. so fun. yet a little over rated...
well, now that brilee's gone Amdon wanted breakfast. so brayland watch KET and i read Eclipse. man, i can't put it down. i sat there, bonding with amdon, for three hours. i didn't care that brayland was watching tv all morning. it was a very laid back day. i thought about brilee a lot and what she was doing. a little too surreal for me; brilee in school.

when i wasn't engulfed with Bella and Edward brayland and i found things to go on our color posters. we're learning our colors still. so we collected anything we could find that was blue and taped it to the blue page, so on and so on, we did a few computer stories, and pretended we were surrounded by water. my imagination was on fire today -- so rare.
i got some great pictures of little Amdon. he is starting to laugh to our touch. man, he is a doll. if i must say so myself. we are going to have to get the shot gun out for all the women that will be swarming around our house.

we went outside to welcome brilee home. still a beautiful day. too bad i spent it inside with a book. naaa. we played with the sidewalk chalk for a while and played hop scotch. brilee loved everything about school. she loved recess. she met a new dylan, and megan grubbs is in her class. she loved everything. no complaints today. i must say as we all embraced as she got off the bus i was touched. my little girl.
wouldn't it be perfect if this zeal was everyday! off to make her lunch and start another wonderful tedious routine.

uploading the pictures and organizing them takes FOREVER!

I can not believe that Ms. Brilee is going to school!!! Totally brought back memories of childhood. You are such a good mommy...breakfeast, reading before school, welcoming her home with sidewalk chalk!! How cute are you!!!

What a day. It's kind of "surreal" isn't it when one of your kids isn't home anymore during the day. I'm glad she liked it so much, and I'm glad that you had a good day too.
