No, I'm a big boy!

ugh, i feel like i'm not cut out for boys. brayland and i are entering a place where we've never been before. and it doesn't help when i'm sleep deprived. Loud, bouncy, testing the limits, defiant...well, you know, Boy. all those great qualities of a boy mixed with a tired mom is scary. i am so thankful i'm not tired everyday. and this binki and diaper thing is really getting annoying. it will click one day and he will choose to be done with it all. it doesn't help the situation for either of us if i continue to push, persuade, yell and scream.

Brayland finally took me up on my offer to go pick out something to wear. this pictures is the outfit for day two. day one was a sweat shirt jacket and his swimming shorts. i giggled. learning seasons and weather appropriate clothing is on my agenda for his little "preschool". he also loves wearing one bright blue shoe with his other black one.

And we've been calling him Big Boy for so long now that he thinks that's his name. i over heard him with a little friend the other day: Friend says, "so what's your name?" Brayland replyed with "Big Boy" Friend: "No, what's your name?" then Brayland says, "Well, my mom calls me Brayland and i'm a Big Boy." heehee, cute. and random people at the store who oo and ah at him always ask his name. he will always say, "me big boy". kinda funny.

now that brilee is gone for a big chunk of the day Brayland and i have a lot of time together. some mornings i let him watch KET all day (because i had to finish my book!). other mornings we find something to do. we string beads, spin paint, do trains, learn our colors and shapes, go shopping, eat, cook. ya know, the usual. today i strapped Amdon on and we went on a bike ride. he slept the whole time. great work out.

anyway, even though the days can be long sometimes with my little boy we love him and are so blessed to have him. Brayland is so loving and compassionate. he can't wait for Amdon to hold his own. they are going to be such great buddies.
