Arrow and OnYa

We wanted to introduce to to our new additions.  We have added two cats to our family.  Mom was craving cats (instead of babies --thank goodness).  She had been visiting the humane society for months trying to choose a cat.  When she finally chose one they told her the ridiculous price to adopt.  ugh.  The worker suggested craigs list.  oh my!  how fun; we found a UK student looking for a home for these two brothers.  She was going to be in Africa for the summer and didn't want to leave them in a kennel.  So of course she fell in love with our family and she brought them over with all of the luggage.

Here is Arrow.  He is super soft.  He is kind and tolerant of the kids.  He loves the bathroom rug.

OnYa has a funny story.  The owner said her name was Ani.  When I saw her in person I pronounced it Annie.  She said, nope, it's Japanese for big brother pronounced Ah-nia.  (or on-ya).  So then later in the week I printed name tags and asked Brian, "you are sure you like his name?"  Yea, go ahead he said.  so he saw the printed name Ani and was like "what the heck does that say?!  I thought it was spelled different! that looks like a girls name.  So we renamed him to OnYa.  A for sure more appropriate name by far because he is always ON-YA!

These cats are so love-able.  Puurrrrr-fect for our family!
