Amdon (4.5) and I have a story to share. Amdon has some unique teeth. We have worked so hard to keep them clean, but regardless of how diligent we are his teeth still have layers and layers of plaque. Last year the dentist found eight cavities; we filled five of them. It was expensive. His teeth could be hereditary from Grandma Julee, or I could've taken an antibiotic at the same time his teeth were developing in uterus, or weak enamel. So last night, I expressed my concern --again-- to Amdon and told him I think it's time to ask for Heavenly Father's help.
And he said, "Heavenly Father has a secret toothbrush!?"
Well...yes. He will use his toothbrush to help us in our efforts. But he will not use it until we ask him to use it. Will you say a prayer with me?
We ended with a prayer, blessed by the spirit.
This a great example to illustrate the enabling power of the atonement.
UPDATE:
The last two times Amdon's been to the dentist he hasn't had any cavities!!! Yea Amdon! (3/2014)
