We brainstormed Caelan's name for months. Brian said he had a dream and the name was Caleb. Sorry. I couldn't do the "lub" sound. The name went through many transformations.
As for his middle name I was stumped because we had used up all our immediate male names. I tied our brother's names, our grandpa's... Nothing felt right. Then I started playing with maiden names. That's when Murray felt prefect. I was so thankful Brian didn't have any objections.
While at Grandma Judkin's funeral we stood in the Murray cemetery amongst the family headstones. As I read each name, connecting the tree together I knew the why Caelan's middle name was so right. To remember the year Grandma died and that side of the family. (It doesn't sound as good as when I first felt the impression that day. I wish I could write the wonderful feelings I felt when I discovered the connection).
