Caelan's Blessing

So we had a quick change in plans to do Caelan's blessing because the whole Hanson family came together for Memorial weekend.  Caelan is sporten' Uncle Steven's 1980's tuxedo.  (Everyone loved it and Pam Oluola couldn't stop laugh at how sticken' cute he was).

I didn't help Brian prepare at all for the ordinance; too bad I realized that afterwards.  But as we were waiting for the moment for Brian to take Caelan up I was reminding him to make sure Caelan's bow tie stayed velcroed and his comber bun was fastened too and to not stretch him out when he holds him up because Caelan was too long for the outfit.  He had to keep him in a sitting position (and even with all the reminders Brian didn't hold him up).

After all that he gave sweet and concise blessing.  Caelan was blessed to retain the truths he is taught and he will serve a mission and get married in the temple.

Our friends that stood in the circle with him were Darrell Hanson, Ethan Hanson, Andy Macky, Rudy Garcia, Alan Cotton, James Ransom, Evan Carlie, and Hernan Owen.








Caelan had fallen asleep on the way to church.  Poor thing was getting much sleep at all the whole weekend.  I was so worried that he would cry and be grouchy during his blessing because we had to wake him up.  But he was happy!  He is always happy.  He doesn't sleep nearly as much as a baby should yet he is smilen' all the time.

Brilee connected that Caelan was blessed on Uncle Steven's Birthday and in the same blessing outfit.  How fitting ;)
