Since my birthday pictures look like i'm not pregnant at all here is proof. heehee In fact I haven't taken pictures of this pregnancy at all. I was in disbelief for most of it. Reality of baby #4 hit me right after Thanksgiving. I panicked, had a few meltdowns and tried to get as much as possible done...I was thankful that I was blessed with a peaceful week prior to delivery. The stress and nesting was over.
So little Ayson was 7 pounds 14 ounces & 20 inches long. The poor thang had the cord wrapped around his neck twice; thankfully he was able to come out enough that she could unwrap him and he wasn't stuck till my next contraction.
Peaceful little Ayson.
Well, there's my little rock; literally. Gratefully, soon to be a bowl of jello. I'll take jello over rocks any day.
It was a long day of waiting. I journaled our 2009 Hanson Scrapbook and Brian stressed about not being 100% on a baby name. I kept telling him to relax, that it would come. We broke my water at 3:30 and the fun began. About 15 minutes before the doc said time to push him out Brian came up with our name...simple really. Ha! Brian started using gun brands in Google to see what would come up. He typed in Wesson; asked me what I thought. Naturally, Brian, it sounds like a gun. Well, in that search also popped up the word/name Aeson. We changed it up so it would meet our criteria and it was perfect. We both looked at each other and said that's it. A huge relief for us to feel 100% confident that Ayson is his name. And a relief because now Brian would be able to sleep through the night. A fun little perk: Ayson sounds like his Uncle Jason. So little Ayson was 7 pounds 14 ounces & 20 inches long. This fresh little guy doesn't look anything like the other three newborns. We were in a bit of a shock to see such a full round chubby face. He's still so cute and has the Hanson nose. He for sure is taken' on Brian's features.
I kept commenting on how tiny Ayson is. I was and still am so excited to hold him.
Dad, of course, is excited too.
